A Developer’s Guide to Complete Aviation Database

Aviation Edge static aviation databases are the ultimate external data for strong aviation-related projects.

An extensive aircraft, airport, city, or airline database can be hard to collect on your own or even find in the first place. You would probably have to rely on multiple data providers for different types of data. This would mean having to maintain multiple data sets from multiple providers on your own and probably a higher bill and lots of time wasted. Not to mention having to keep up with updates and cross-check with multiple sources for accuracy. There has to be a better way!

We realize the importance of external data for developers and businesses, and as a global aviation database and API provider, we are here to power your projects so you can make the most of this opportunity.

Developer Highlights for Aircraft Database, Airport Database, and More

Format: All databases come in XLSX, CSV, and SQL formats — all three in a single .zip file. Use whichever you are the most comfortable working on, filter the columns as you need, and integrate the data into your project to maximize the data quality. Strong aviation data for strong aviation projects.

Updates: The standalone databases focus on static data that do not typically require constant updates, like city and country information, airport location, etc. This is why we make updates irregularly and in bulk depending on the database in question. We should mention that once you buy the full versions, you will have access to the future updated versions without having to buy the databases again. They are simply one-time purchases with updates included. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Prefer APIs?: In addition to the XLSX, CSV, and SQL formats, all standalone databases are also available as individual JSON REST APIs. Access to the API versions comes with an API subscription. The API key assigned to you basically stays active for as long as your subscription is active. In addition to the static data, the API subscriptions also include access to our real-time airport timetable, flight tracking, historical and future schedules, airline routes data, and more. All APIs are subject to a pretty nice Service Level Agreement and compatible with all leading SDKs for a developer-friendly integration phase. GET YOUR API KEY HERE!
