What Details are Included in the Airports API and Airports Database

The airport data in the standalone Airports Database version and the Airports API version are the same. For the standalone airport database version, updates are made in bulk. The bigger advantage of the API version is that the changes in it are sometimes made individually right away whenever there is a change in airport details IRL. This can be when a new airport opens, closes, or its airport IATA code changes.

Each entry in the airport database has the following details:

• Airport IATA and codes
• Airport name in English + translations (many languages are available and we are expanding this feature!)
• ISO-2 country code and country name
• IATA city code
• Airport latitude and longitude values
• Airport time zone and GMT
• Airport phone number and website (not available for all items as most airports do not have a public phone number or an official website)
• Geoname ID
